A
Continued Commitment to Fair Trade
Cool Beans Coffee Company is committed not only to our
customers, but to the farmers who grow and harvest the best quality coffee
beans that enable us to produce a quality product. Since 1989, Cool Beans Coffee Company has
been an advocate for fair trade, enabling those farmers to have a better quality
life and allowing their communities to benefit from fair prices and business
practices. Fair trade practices allow us
to “guarantee that the farmers and workers producing Fair Trade Certified goods
were paid fair prices and wages, work in safe conditions, protect the
environment, and receive community development funds to empower and uplift
their communities” (Research Reveals, 2014,
para. 5). Fair trade is important to us,
important to consumers, and important to the coffee growers. Cool Beans Coffee Company will continue to
uphold its commitment to being a Fair Trade Certified coffee retailer because
we know it’s the right thing to do.
